Ben & Stephanie | A Token Creek Engagement Session
There are some seriously beautiful fall sessions hitting the blog this week & this is DEFINITELY one of those! Ben & Stephanie’s engagement session had it all when it comes to the cozy fall feelings: handcrafted wooden signs, a bushel of apples, painted pumpkins, multi-colored leaves, and the most beautifully warm sunset!
Ben & Stephanie have been together for almost 8 years! This duo met while working at the same restaurant and have been together ever since. A few years into their relationship, Ben & Stephanie were blessed with a beautiful little girl — Payton. Payton, who is now 6, is the sweetest little ball of energy and so intelligent too! As we were walking through a field together, she warned me about some poison ivy that she saw ahead. I’m pretty sure our conversation went like this: “Look out! That plant has 3 leaves and you don’t want to touch it. That’s poison ivy.” … ummm, how cute are you!?
When I asked Stephanie how I could best capture their love & the unique relationship they share, she told me, “I think just by watching how we are around each other.” And do you know what happened when I did?? I saw a man who can make Stephanie laugh the most genuine and heartfelt laugh, one that lights up the room. I saw a woman who tenderly cares & passionately loves Ben — a love that can be felt through the look in her eyes. I saw a little girl who is so deeply loved by her parents & so thrilled that they are getting married. And I saw a family —- a family who puts each other first, no matter what.
Ben & Stephanie, I’m so humbled to be welcomed in and asked to be part of your wedding day. Thank you for the wonderful example you set for your child (+ the world) on what a family looks like <3
