Dustin & Michelle | A Rustic Spring Wedding at Century Barn, Mt. Horeb
I couldn’t have dreamed a more beautiful way to kick of the 2018 wedding season than with Dustin & Michelle’s wedding at Century Barn this past weekend! The entire day was a crescendo of happiness, each minute passing by proved to be more powerful than the last and I was left wanting more — more joy, more laughter, more love — and never wanting the night to end.
For anyone looking through these photos, it’s easy to see what a beauty Michelle is. From head to toe, this woman stuns the world with her poise & grace but an even more profound beauty can be found within her heart. Michelle has kindest heart and from the moment I walked through the door on her wedding day, she made ME feel like the most important person in the room — that’s just Michelle. She welcomes you into her life and gives you everything she has. As the day progressed, it was apparent what a profound impact Michelle has had on all the lives she touches.
The sweetest moment came when Michelle was taking pictures with her bridesmaids and she turned to me and said, “I’m already having the best day ever and the crazy part is that I haven’t even gotten to see Dustin yet, he’s the whole reason we’re here!”. Michelle’s excitement could only be rivaled by Dustin, who beamed from ear to ear the entire day. Time and time again, Dustin would say things like, “I can’t believe how lucky I am,” or “This day is perfect, absolutely perfect.”. Although Dustin was already saying the sweetest things about Michelle, what really tugged at my heart was watching the way he looked at her — their connection was like a magnetic force, constantly being drawn further into each other with every breath (you’ll see it in all of their photos!).
As I thought about what words I wanted to say about Michelle & Dustin (trust me, I could go on for days), I realized I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about their families as well. It was during family portraits that I saw Dustin’s Mom, Joanne, standing off to the side and smiling thoughtfully… as I followed her gaze, I noticed it was her children that she had been watching. With such pride, Joanne leaned over and said, “Having children is hands down the most rewarding experience of your life.” The amount of love that Michelle & Dustin’s parents have for their children, not only individually but also together as couples, could move mountains. With over 60 years of marriage between both sets of parents, Michelle & Dustin will certainly be walking in the footsteps of incredible marriages as they begin this new chapter together in life.
Dustin & Michelle, I love you both and am SO incredibly honored to have been part of your wedding day! Xo
