Joe & Calanthea | A Sunday Morning Wedding at Olbrich Botanical Gardens
There is something about intimate weddings that have my heart. Joe & Calanthea were married on a beautiful Sunday morning at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison and it will live on in my heart as a truly special day.
Joe & Calanthea opted to have a small wedding with only their closest friends & family, placing the emphasis of their union on the true meaning of marriage. Music filled the air from Calanthea’s sister & one of her dear friends — hymns were sung and hands were raised, praising Jesus for his infinite goodness. During the ceremony, Joe & Calanthea stole a moment to wash each others feet (as Jesus did with his disciples) as a symbol of devotion & service to each other. The entire ceremony brought chills throughout my body as I watched these two incredible individuals joining their lives with each other.
Joe & Calanthea, thank you for inviting me in to witness & document your wedding day! You two are a light in this world and headed for great things! Xo
I loved this sweet moment before the ceremony where Calanthea’s friends and family prayed over their marriage.
So much sweet joy!!!
