Mark & Marisela | A Mitchell Park Domes Maternity Session
It’s always a beautiful day when I get to shoot a session at the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee!!! When Marisela asked me to take their maternity photos at this location, I seriously squealed with delight — the Domes is hands down one of my favorite places to take photos, especially in the cold winter months of Wisconsin.
You might remember this sweet duo from an earlier session (check out their photos & incredible story here!) where we photographed the announcement of their pregnancy! I can’t even begin to tell you what a delight Marisela and Mark are to be with… as individuals and as a couple, they are a complete joy to be around and a breath of fresh air when it comes to their outlook on marriage + life. Marisela & Mark only knew each other for a matter of weeks before they got engaged and married and during their maternity session, I commented on how much I admired their relationship and how deeply in love they still are after almost a decade together. In response, Marisela so wisely said “Falling in love was the easy part but marriage is about so much more than that.”
One of the things I ADORE about Marisela and Mark is how fiercely they support each other — Marisela brags on her husbands incredible accomplishments and continuous promotions within the Air Force and Mark shows immense pride in his beautiful wife who is not only about to become a mother but is also pursing her doctorate. These two are a shining example of hard work and dedication and have been blessed with parents who have surely influenced their relationship. Mari’s parents came along to to watch their session so naturally I had to snap a few quick photos of them too — they’ve been together nearly 40 years! Talk about an incredible example of commitment!
Marisela & Mark, you continue to inspire me (in every way) and there is one thing I know for certain… Your baby girl is going to have two of the BEST role models in her life as parents. Xo
Mari, you are just GLOWING!!!!
Love this set so much!!!
I had to end with this sweet photos of Mari’s parents! <3 Love!!!
