Mike & Katie | A Classic Wedding at The Watermark in Theinsville
Last Friday, I kicked off a double-header wedding weekend with Mike & Katie at The Watermark in Theinsville! All week the forecast had been calling for overcast skies but as I woke up to a heavy downpour with fierce winds, I started to become a little concerned for the day. When it was time to head out the door, massive hail fell from the sky and my concern quickly doubled (or tripled). Mike & Katie had been SO excited to take photos outside and down by the river — I thought to myself, “This weather couldn’t possibly have come any other day?!” I’m always in awe of what a little prayer & positive thinking can do because the moment that I pulled my car into the venue, the rain stopped and we were left with BEAUTIFUL sunshine all day long. I get goosebumps just thinking about the timing of it all!
From the moment I met Mike & Katie, I loved being around them because of how genuinely happy they are… but I’m not talking about just the smiles on their faces or the kind words they speak. No, their happiness isn’t just a mood — these two possess a happiness & contentment that feels so authentic that it radiates from the deepest parts of their souls. It’s the type of love that lights up a room and makes you believe in fate. When Mike looks at Katie, his eyes dance with joy because he’s holding the center of the universe in his arms. Honestly, I could write paragraphs on how sweet their love is but I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
Mike & Katie, your love is once in a lifetime. Thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day & I’m so excited for the future path that lies ahead of you! Xo
Mike & Katie wanted to see each other for the first time coming down the aisle so they decided to read letters to each other around a corner! It was so intimate & personal!
That “We’re MARRIED now!!!” kiss right after the ceremony!
Love love love this set!!!
Absolutely gorgeous, Katie!!!
These sunset photos are just TOO good!!!
