Nick & Jamie | A Waunakee Farm Engagement Session
When I asked Jamie over email to tell me about the man she was marrying, she answered: “I’m marrying my high school sweetheart; he’s the best.” After meeting Nick for the first time, I’d have to agree 100% with Jamie.
This couple is a match made in heaven! As I just mentioned, this duo started dating in high school but actually met much earlier in their lives when they became friends in eighth grade. Can you believe they’ve known each other that long?! What’s even more incredible is that both Jamie’s parents and sister married their high school sweetheart — I guess you could say it runs in the family. Although they’ve known each other practically half of their lives, these two haven’t always been “close”. What I mean by that is that for the 6 years that they dated, 5 of those years were spent living in different cities. They recently moved to Minnesota together and are finally able to enjoy the simple things in life, like being together & seeing each other every day!
We started our engagement session at Nick’s family’s land — gorgeous fence lines, weeping willow trees, and beautiful fields! Our second location was right across the street at their friend’s small farm and let me tell you, this place was gorgeous & so perfect for our session! As we were exploring the land, I suggested we hop behind the gate where a few horses were and the second we did the horses & mini-cows decided to join us for photos!!! Seriously, such a highlight of the night — cutest photobomb ever.
Nick & Jamie, you guys are a blast to be around & I’m so happy that you’re finally able to live in the same city together! Let the countdown begin to your wedding, I can’t wait!!! xo
Leave some love for these two in the comments below! If they receive 25 or more comments, they will receive a complimentary 8×10″ gift print of their favorite image.
